Modifications Committee Reminders
The modifications committee for Wood Glen is made up of five volunteers (currently) responsible for approving or disapproving of any request for modification by a property owner. Property owners are required to send in a completed form available on the website, in advance, for “any “change” to your lot or exterior of your home…” See Art. IV, Sect 4 (page 16) of the neighborhood Covenants for details. The Covenants also can be found at the www.woodglen.org website.
The committee says most changes are approved, unless specifically prohibited, but proceeding with unapproved changes can be costly to property owners and can delay closing on the sale of any property without proper approval. Without advance approval, modifications could prove costly to property owners if adjustments need to be made after the fact.
The committee is required to turn a decision within 30 days but most cases are completed in much less time. Those owners who initially fill out the form correctly and submit the proper paperwork and facts get their approvals very quickly.
