President’s Letter
President Grace Capwell |
Happy New Year! My best wishes to you and your family for the 2008 New Year. I feel it’s going to be a very good year but then I always do. I’m a “half glass full” kind of person. I hope you feel the same. There is nothing like getting a clean slate and another chance to be good and do well. Maybe I feel this way because of what I see in our neighborhood. I’m happy I live here and that’s a reflection on everyone here. We are small enough to be a real community that yes, has its differences, but also has common ground, literally. (Also, thanks for hiding your trash cans while the Round Rock Refuse took a break for Thanksgiving. Our neighborhood looked wonderful during that time while our garbage piled high behind our fences! Your cooperation is appreciated.)

My sincerest thanks to many who have contributed this past year to making progress in Wood Glen. We have done so much but … we’re going to do more. I know because I work with all of our wonderful section reps and committee chairs who give their time because they care. They are committed to making this a better place.
I want to thank two people in particular who are stepping down from service this year – Denise Hoss, our Social Chairperson, and Jody Brahosky, our Section 5 Representative. Both have done so well and given much back to the neighborhood. Please let me know if you are interested in helping out with those open positions. I’m also grateful to those carrying on into the New Year – both the Section Reps and the Committee Chairs.
Here’s to the best year ever!
Best,
Grace Capwell
