Holidays for garbage pick-up
The City of Round Rock contracts with Round Rock Refuse to provide garbage pick-up. Garbage pick-up is twice a week, Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. The only trash holidays are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day and only if they fall on a trash collection day. Call 255-4980 with questions.
Curbside recycling in Round Rock
Round Rock Refuse offers curbside recycling to residential customers for $4 per month. Curbside pick-up is once a week. Call Round Rock Refuse at 255-4980 for information.
Additional charge for recycling pickup service
The City of Round Rock contracts with a private company, Round Rock Refuse, to collect residential garbage and recyclables and to operate a landfill and recycling center. Currently market prices for recycled materials are not sufficient to cover the cost of house-by-house collection, so it is offered as an optional service. To request this service, call 255-4980. There is no charge for recyclables brought to the Recycling Center.

The Recycling Center, 310 Deepwood Drive
The Round Rock Recycling Center, 310 Deepwood Dr., accepts oil and gasoline (in approved containers) everyday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Center accepts hazardous household waste, like paint and pesticides, from 4 to 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month. It schedules Saturday collections periodically.
