National Night Out 2007
National Night Out 2007 was a huge success! We had a wonderful dinner catered by Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant. There was plenty of entertainment for kids of all ages. We also had visits from many of our local law enforcement. It was a great opportunity to relax and visit with our neighbors. Thank you to all who assisted in making it a fun event for all. Thanks also to Mike Chafin with Farmer’s Insurance for providing the kids identification program for the event.
Please see the upcoming calendar of events for the most up-to-date info on what’s happening in Wood Glen. Most notably, we would like to propose a Wood Glen craft fair this fall. If you have an interest in setting up a booth to sell your handmade crafts to your neighbors, please contact Denise Hoss (dchoss@austin.rr.com) for additional information. We will need to gather at least 10 participants to make our fair possible. Please remember that we are always looking for volunteers to assist (or lead!) the social events in our neighborhood. The next big event that takes LOTS of volunteers is Halloween. Please contact Denise if you are interested in participating. |
