President’s Letter
President Grace Capwell |
Welcome to the October edition of our new Wood Glen print newsletter. This is our third issue and so far the feedback has been positive. Please let us know what’s on your mind for improvements or additions to this communication to better our neighborhood. I want to thank everyone who attended the WGPOA Annual Meeting held last Sept. 19th. Our bylaws require we hold an annual meeting every year at any time. We typically pick September, however, this year we inadvertently scheduled our meeting the same night as the Cedar Valley Middle School parents’ night. |
My apologies to all of you who had this conflict and could not make a meeting. Next year we will do our best to schedule outside of numerous local meetings that take place in September. We will study early October in 2008 as an alternative. If you missed the meeting, please see the meeting recap online at www.woodglen.org
The calendar of events online gives details on our upcoming Halloween Carnival. It’s a huge hit with the kids so don’t miss it. The front yard ant bait program was Oct. 1 and don’t forget to pick up your backyard bait on Oct. 6 between 1 and 3 p.m. (Rain date is Oct. 13th same time.)
Our thanks go out to Kathy and Don Wood for again sponsoring our fall garage sale. They sponsor local advertisements and signage for the event to bring in customers.
Speeding vehicles along Plantation Dr. remain an ongoing challenge. Please be cognizant of the 30 MPH limit to keep our kids (buses loading and unloading) and all the Wood Glen exercisers safe.
Thanks,
Grace Capwell
