President’s Update
You may have already received the new print edition of the Wood Glen Property Owners Association (WGPOA) newsletter. This print edition does not replace our electronic version. This print copy is in addition to our electronic copy which will be sent out just prior to the print edition. So, if you are not already on the official Wood Glen email list, please sign up. By subscribing to the WG email list, you also receive timely updates on any news that’s pertinent to our neighborhood. Subscribe here: woodglenpoa-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
We currently have more than 230 subscribers to our WG email database, however, there are more than 500 homes in Wood Glen. So many of you are not receiving this news, and we’re trying to change that. It’s critical that all residents be kept up to date on Wood Glen issues including our safety and security issues, social events and more.
This print edition also comes at no cost to the homeowner’s association. Peel, Inc., the publisher of this print copy, actually covers all costs (layout, print, mail) via advertising. So, you get a timely update that costs nothing to you. If you prefer an edition with no advertising, you have a choice to read the electronic version with no advertising. It’s really a win-win situation and that’s why the board recently approved this effort.
Our neighborhood is divided into seven sections. Each section has a representative. The section reps are always open to feedback. The contact information also is listed online at www.woodglen.org/board.asp
Wood Glen is nearly 10 years young and going strong. It’s up to each of us to keep the standards high. Many residents have volunteered or are volunteering now to keep the neighborhood top notch. If you can spare some time to help, see the story in this issue about volunteer positions open now.
Thanks to many volunteers, the kids (and the big kids) had a great July 4 bike parade and celebration at the amenity center. So much effort goes into these social events that make memories for our children that are priceless. I’m so grateful for those volunteers who step up to make things happen.
The summer is flying by so quickly. Enjoy these last few weeks before school starts again. Get ready for our National Night Out event at the amenity center on Tuesday, August 7, 2007. This will be a great way to get out and say hello to old and new neighbors alike.
See you there!
